This course focuses on giving you the basic skills needed to be able to defend yourself. We prioritize the basic tasks that must be understood; how to properly draw a handgun, acquire targets and engage. The skills learned here are the foundation for self defense with a handgun. Each advanced level of training builds on these skills. We strive to offset the cost of ammunition by having the student use our simulation firearms during part of this class. These do fire a simulated round that gives the student instant feedback but keeps the number of live rounds as low as possible.

"As a retired senior NCO with with a couple of deployments myself I learned things in this course not generally covered in the military. I have had my carry permit for a while now and knew I needed to work being better prepared in case I ever have to use my weapon beyond just a focus on marksmanship. This course identified the key drills I need to work on as well providing good information on the pros and cons of different types of holsters and carrying open or concealed. Probably the most important thing I learned is how little time you might have to react to an attack which drove home the importance of situational awareness even more. I would recommend this course to anybody regardless of background."
